DESCRIPTION:

The extension and refurbishment of an existing 60 bed nursing home to create a 90 bed facility suitable for all levels of care and to meet the needs of the market for the next 20 years.

The scope of works involves refurbishment of 60% of the existing floor area and increases the floor area of the facility by over 80%.

ARROW'S ROLE

Arrow has been engaged to provide Project Management and design services for the full delivery of the project. The design process has included the creation of a master plan for the site to ensure the project targets the optimum development of the site.

UNIQUE ASPECTS

Our team is unique in that it has provided design and project management services for the full lifecycle of the project.

The project scope was originally to upgrade the existing facility to meet certification requirements; however the scope of works has quadrupled during the design process. As a result of Government funding we will be adding an additional 30 beds.

The project has been staged to allow the continuous operation of the facility and to ensure residents are only relocated once.
