DESCRIPTION:

Arrow International Australia Limited was involved as Project Manager and Construction Manager to deliver the Brimbank Anglican Church Complex. This project consisted of a Chapel, Sunday School, Childrens Area, Offices, Concourse, Amenities and Basketball Hall.

ARROW'S ROLE

To provide Project Management Leadership at thebeginning of the project, appoint consultants, manage thedesign, and provide building solutions.

To provide construction management services throughout the entire project in order to manage subcontractor trades, including site management to final handover.

UNIQUE ASPECTS

Prior to Arrows involvement, the project cost was far inexcess of funds available to complete the project. At thebeginning of the project, Arrow provided a cost valueengineering service to intelligently modify the buildingwithout compromising on design and functionality. The project budget was reduced by over $1m (20%) withoutany loss of footprint or functionality.

At the completion of the project, this effective budget management resulted in significant savings. This allowed the church to use surplus funds to increase the specification of various aspects of the building to create an ever better final product.

Many design firsts in the building and complexities of construction had to be resolved by Arrow, whilst being on time and on budget.
